I hiked Baxter for the first time - 7/07 - WOW!

If so please

My passion is nature and landscape photography! I also photograph families including children & seniors, weddings,
commercial, editorial, business, advertising and events
.

Providing stock images of Maine.  I am also lead small photo tours here in Downeast Maine.  I enjoy sharing my back yard with others!

I graduated from Calais High School in 1988, obtained a certificate in Office Technology from The New Brunswick Community College St. Andrews, N B in 1995, and graduated from Washington County Technical College with a Associate degree in Small Business Management in 2000.  I enjoy hiking, camping, gardening, and traveling.

I first picked up a camera while in high school after enrolling in a black and white photography class. I immediately loved it and wanted to learn more. I received my first 35mm Pentax camera with zoom lens the following year for graduation.

I then naturally turned my camera to what I enjoy the most and that is this special place that I live in Downeast Maine. I have placed an emphasis on capturing the environment around me from the smallest details to beautiful landscapes and seascapes that are so abundant here in Maine. I am document what we have for future generations and to show how wonderful this environment is with hopes of helping to protect what is left.

Nature is so abundant here in Maine with endless scenes just waiting to be photographed and I love capturing each moment be it a sunrise, a rainbow, a flower, or an eagle soaring over head. I shoot what catches my eye from the grand landscape to the small details of nature. I am always seeing. Nature is a just waiting to be discovered, and I take pleasure in capturing each beautiful pieces of nature as if unfolds before my eyes.

There is much beauty here in Down East Maine and I have only captured just a small glimpse of what it has to offer and I enjoy showing others what is so wonderful here in Down East Maine.

As John Keats said, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever." and I love to create art with my camera that can be enjoyed forever.

I am lucky to be living in the Eastern most part of the United States where the four seasons offer abundant photographic opportunities. As a child I didn't like the long cold winters and the changing seasons. Now I couldn't imagine living without all of the glorious changes that nature presents to us each day and through out each change of the seasons.

I hope to inspire you with some of my images so you will to come to Maine and enjoy what it has to offer first hand.

"Nature is . . . always and never the same." -Emerson
